The Business Visa Class II is intended for foreign individuals who plan to establish a more permanent business presence in Timor-Leste, such as becoming a commercial company administrator or pursuing ongoing business activities that require a longer stay.
The Business Visa Class II is intended for foreign individuals who plan to establish a more permanent business presence in Timor-Leste, such as becoming a commercial company administrator or pursuing ongoing business activities that require a longer stay. This visa is crucial for investors and senior management intending to reside in the country for extended periods.
Purpose: Settling in Timor-Leste to pursue ongoing business activities, acting as a commercial company administrator, or holding a relief post within a registered or to-be-registered company in Timor-Leste.
Validity: Initial period of six (6) months.
Entries: Allows for multiple entries.
Extension: May be extended for periods of two (2) years. Extensions are contingent upon the effective registration of the commercial company with the competent authority and continuous compliance with legal obligations. The applicant must also demonstrate continuous presence in Timor-Leste for at least 183 days per year.
Application Fee: USD $150.00 for both initial issuance and subsequent extensions.
Key Requirements (in addition to VNG1 requirements):
Certified copy of Commercial Registration (from SERVE).
Authorisation to conduct economic activity.
Tax payment certificate of the company (demonstrating tax compliance).
Medical certificate (Atestado de robustez física e psíquica) confirming physical and mental fitness.
Original criminal record certificate issued by the competent authorities of the country of origin or the country where the foreigner has resided for more than one year.
Any other means of proof as specified.
